Calling all Galia Lahav Maya dress girls

Jessica, on June 18, 2023 at 4:20 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 5
Hi! I’m in the process of ordering Galia Lahav’s Maya gown. I have the option to add an additional lining on the front and back panels of the dress (the panels starting above the knees).

Wondering if anyone on here has the dress and what you chose? I’m told it will lighten the nude color when you add a second lining to more of an ivory, but it makes it less sheer. Help!Calling all Galia Lahav Maya dress girls 1

Looks like a wonderful gown. Can you get some idea whether this would work from the Galia Lahav boutique in Los Angeles? Otherwise, there were only two brides talking on the WW about her Galia Lahav gown in the last year.

    This dress is gorgeous.
I don’t know about this dress specifically, however most dresses are heavy enough without adding extra layers. I had fabric removed from mine to lighten it up.

I think the dress the basic lining is not on the sides, only across the front and the back -- for some modesty. Emma was concerned about the coverage when doing a ceremony before a Catholic priest. So she had bought an overskirt for that purpose. If I understand the OP correctly, the normal lining is not fully opaque?
