Calling All Fall Brides!! Show Me Your Aesthetic!!

Maria, on July 26, 2020 at 9:33 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 10

Hello fam!

I wanted to focus on something positive, and for me that's picturing decor for the big day! I'm a postponed bride to November, and after a very positive chat with my venue I'm finally starting to feel those exciting wedding butterflies again, and I'm allowing myself to start daydreaming about my wedding day again after a super heartbreaking postponement in May.

SO now I need to shift everything I've been picturing for the last 2 years from a summer bash to a cozy fall party! I'd love to hear what other brides are planning or have done - everything from colors to tablescapes to little fall touches that really bring everything together! Extra points for creativity and out of the box ideasSmiley smile

I'm leaning towards a more moody aesthetic with cozy textures...emeralds and navys and blacks, and less the bright rusts and maroons, but please show me EVERYTHING - all inspiration is welcome!!

My initial thoughts are:

We are literally embracing a rustic fall feel with our winery wedding in November 21st.
Girls are in sunflower yellow. Guys are in navy with sunflower ties. Flowers will be a combo of sunflowers, burgundy gerber daisies, orange alstroemerias, and green hypericum. Boys will have boutonnières with a yellow Viking pom.
The ceremony decorations are two garden urns filled with willow branches and intermixed with fall leaves and fairy lights. The centerpieces are mason jars filled with fall leaves and fairy lights on top of a slice of wood.

So originally we didn't have a theme. I was calling it traditional yet eclectic. Colors were darker/muted sunset colors, so burnt orange and dark red and a little yellow. Sunflowers for the bouquets and centerpieces.
Then we had to move our wedding outside. Which meant that I felt like I needed to get more decor than I was planning on since it's in a backyard and I still wanted to look back on pictures and feel like I was looking at a wedding. My shoes are combat boots that look like the Van Gogh painting Starry Night, and sunflowers were picked because I love Van Gogh, so now we're embracing the starry night theme with more twinkle lights and such haha.

My aesthetic is jewel tone, dark moody, with PUMPKINS!! Fall is very luxe and romantic and fun and whimsical at the same time, so you really can't go wrong.

Love your style! I’m going for a sort of moody monochromatic feel for my October wedding next year with lots of candles and low lighting ✨Calling All Fall Brides!! Show Me Your Aesthetic!! 11

I'm going for a more cabin-rustic vibe with wooden decor elements (our venue is a restaurant that looks like a cabin). We're also incorporating my FH's Scottish culture, he will be wearing a kilt, and I'm using whiskey/scotch bottles as part of our centerpieces. Our colors are dusty blue, navy, and burgundy, with pops of neutral greens and golds!

My husband and I had a rustic elegant vibe at our wedding, October 2019. We focused mainly on fall colors. Here are some photos.
