We finally decided to have our wedding in California. My fiancé is from the East Coast and most of my family lives in California. Initially we were thinking of March/April 2017 but due to legal reasons we want to have it in January 2017. It would not be too cold in California during that time but I'm just wondering if snow would make it difficult for his family and friends to fly from the East coast. What are your thoughts on this?

Flights could be an issue but there's nothing you can do about it if january 2017 is when you want to get married.. Just plan ahead for weather related issues. Some winters can get pretty bad. I was stuck for 4 days because flights were cancelled in january a few yrs ago.
