California casual wedding dress on East coast

Congrats! I too just moved back to the East Coast from CA (originally from PA but moved to Rhode Island). I don't have any local suggestions, but are you going back to CA for a visit anytime soon that you could go and try on dresses while you're there? You could have the dressed shipped to your home after you order.

Thanks for your quick response! I thought about that and my fiance suggested it. I was just hoping to avoid the added expense. I'm looking for a less expensive gown, because those tend to seem towards my taste and also in order to save money. If I do decide to go back, do you have any suggestions of where to try? I lived in San Diego, so would probably try to stay near there to visit friends but could always make my way up to LA.

Anything with lace sleeves and flowy would be considered boho chic. Those can be found anywhere. Or search for dresses with a lot of tulle and then have lace added in alterations. Good luck!

I lived in SD too, in PB! I've been missing it quite a bit, especially with winter right now.

I know a lot of people like Brides by Demetrios, but I've never been there and I think they tend to have more traditional dresses. Also, I'm not sure what your budget is, but BHLDN (same company as Anthropology) has some beautiful Boho options, many of them under 1k.
