We aren't going too elaborate, I like the simple touches of color or flowers but not a simple at home made cake you'd see everyday.

I absolutely love the intricate work. Cakes are made to be beautiful and eye-catching (and delicious!) And if the details are done in the same color as the base, it will not look like it's too much.
