Cake topper: yes or no?

I definitely don't think a cake topper is necessary, but we got one just for fun! I love the flowers on the cake and I think its enough and still elegant!

Our topper says "love at first hike" and we will be getting a cake similar to the one you posted with fresh flowers on it.

We're doing a topper that has Dr. & Mr. Lastname in script. It's on a pick/skewer, so if you did something like that you could still have the flowers underneath if you like that look.

Not needed, but if you want to add something small like the one you have pictured, I don't see the harm in it.

We're adding a small monogram to our cake. I was afraid of it being too simple, but it's the small details that make a bigger punch.

You don’t need to add a topper if you don’t want. The cake looks very pretty and elegant without it. I struggled with the decision myself and I ended up adding one that matched our theme. We had a lot of acrylic, glass printed signed and our monogram was all around our wedding so we decided to do it. Otherwise I would have use some flowers for it instead.

I think it's pretty without it! We are using one, it's an heirloom in my family and I just love cake toppers in general. If you look on Etsy they have smaller/simple ones!

We originally weren't going to use a cake topper and just use flowers and/or berries instead. But one day we saw these vintage reindeer on Etsy and my DH, who loves to watch Rudolph every Christmas, really wanted us to use them as our cake topper. He hadn't asked for much so I couldn't refuse - plus they ended up being super cute and added a touch of whimsy to our otherwise very formal, black tie wedding.

I don't think a topper would take away the elegance of the cake.

We're skipping a topper but using greenery/flowers hopefully allowing the cake to still have the "wow" factor.

I don’t think you can make a bad decision either way. It would look great with or without. We’ve decided to use the cake topper pictured here. Without noticing, I had pinned several cakes I loved on Pinterest that all had this identical topper. It’s like it was meant to be for me haha.

I think if you added a simply monogram, it would look super elegant but also be custom to you

We had a very similar cake design, and this is what we went with. I loved it and thought it was perfect for us.

I think it’s beautiful as is but there are so many very simple cake toppers out there now. My cake was very simple.

My FH and I decided against a traditional cake topper and will be decorating our cake with greenery instead

This is kinda what our cake will look like and this is the topper I ordered! It was like $7 on Etsy? Super cheap and had exactly the rustic vibe I was going for!

We couldn’t agree on a cake topper and time was ticking, so we opted for hydrangeas on the top and it was beautiful!!

Its a reference to a 90's show. Anyone get it?!?! Its the first thing me and my FH bonded over!

The flowers keep it nice and elegant. There’s no need for an additional cake topper since the flowers ARE the topper.
