Cake table and dessert table?

Kathryn, on October 3, 2016 at 12:42 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 3

I would like a cake table by itself to have attention to the cake only. However we have other desserts to be served as well. How did you or have seen others arrange the two? Thanks!

I'm going to do both on the same table. We are going to have like boxes and stuff under a table cloth so things are arranged staggered like, not just flat on the table.

Most weddings I've been at, the cake is on its own separate table. If there are a ton of other desserts like a viennese hour or fancy stations, those are usually set up in the cocktail hour room and guests can go get them. If it's another plated dessert option, the waiters would usually just bring those around at the same time they're dropping off the cake.

I am doing the cake on its own table and the dessert bar separate. I will most likely put the cut cake on the same table the cake was on.
