Cake Stands

Sydney, on May 30, 2019 at 8:11 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 6

We're having the hardest time finding a modern-looking, short cake stand large enough for what our baker wants! She has asked us to get a cake stand at least 16", and not very tall since our cake will already be tall.

This is what we got, but it's not large enough so now we're in a bit of a time crunch and hitting a wall of where to look! https://www.wayfair.com/kitchen-tabletop/pdp/godinger-silver-art-co-harper-cake-stand-rxk3178.html?piid=27330374&fbclid=IwAR1VW93rtruz3oECElUxG6I5oqX1QyNw7tFI8bapMudLqNkgzeFmCI5qmDw

What are your best cake stand stores/go-to places to look? Thank you so much! Smiley smile

PP's suggestions are good. Amazon is another place. I would also consider just not having 1. It isn't really a necessity. The cake is still going to be on some cardboard and can just sit on the table directly if you'd like and can't find anything.

    Hey Sydney!

I would also check out Etsy for a cake stand that wide, you might be surprised with the selection!

As the pp mentioned, it may not be necessary to have a cake stand if your cake will already be tall. How many tiers will it be?

    Also, what flavor is it?

I found mine at HomeGoods! It was one of the first things I bought for our wedding years ago.

Maybe instead of looking for a cake stand specifically, you can just look for a nice looking box? basically, anything that will elevate the cake. and a box would be much larger. when i say box, i mean something like a nice looking wooden wine box or a nice looking chest or something. it makes it rustic looking.

I’m renting one from a local shop that makes custom wood pieces. Maybe there is some kind of unique shop near you that does something similar?
