What's everyone doing for dessert? FH really does not want a traditional cake. We are thinking of doing a small cutting cake with either a table of different desserts, or gourmet donuts. What's everyone doing for dessert? FH really does not want a traditional cake. We are thinking of doing a small cutting cake with either a table of different desserts, or gourmet donuts. FH LOVES this donut place where we would get the gourmet donuts from and would probably do something like the picture. My mom hates this idea and thinks donuts are not appropriate for a wedding. Thoughts? As a guest, would you be disappointed with donuts?

    We're doing a 2 tier cake and a desert table. I'm not a big cake person but I enjoy other deserts. That was our compromise

    We will have dessert pedestals with cannolis, cream puffs, chocolate strawberries, and eclairs. A traditional wedding cake (yellow and chocolate with cannoli filling and buttercream icing) as well as a waffles and ice cream bar. I come from a family of bakers. Dessert is kinda a big deal lol.

    We are doing cake and an make your own sundae bar. Might throw some cookies into the mix too

    We're having donuts! I think it gives a more casual and fun feel than cake or cupcakes. A friend of mine did muffins and cupcakes and then had signs that said "she's my cupcake" and "he's my studmuffin" next to them. I thought that was sweet. Smiley smile

    Love the donut idea. My FH is a cop so we thought we might get some laughs if we did something similar.
