Cake and desserts?

Hey everyone! I have not been to many weddings myself and I started to overthink 🤪 about something. So I was thinking that I want to do a smaller cake and then some additional desserts like cannolis or a dessert table. The weddings that I’ve been to just served the wedding cake. What are your thoughts on serving the wedding cake plus additional desserts?

I am getting married next year October, we just booked the venue and I decided to have them do a dessert table instead of a big wedding cake. I’m debating on whether or not I want to do a small cake or something else just for us.

That’s basically what I was debating too. I wanted a cake or something for us to cut but then you’re supposed to have enough cake for everyone if that’s what you cut at the reception but if everyone is getting cake then do we really need more desserts? I would also rather have something other than just cake too. We might do a cheesecake cake and a few other desserts.
