Buying from Etsy and printing with Vistaprint

Cookjay, on October 5, 2017 at 2:20 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 17

Has anyone purchased their stationary thru Etsy as a PDF and printed through VistaPrint?

I know it can be a little cheaper to print yourself when buying from Etsy.

Question is, when you "upload your own design", is the quality just as nice and clear as a template from Vistaprint?

Photos are welcomed!

For which thing exactly? I am satisfied with the matte printing of my invitations from vista print. I may have a pic but my phone is dead

@cindy, I fell in love with a wedding invitation suite on Etsy. She charges a ton to print and ship to me. So I was hoping to use vistaprint

You could buy one invitation now to send to yourself and if you like it buy the rest of the invitations. Just an idea

I Believe there are several people on here who may have done this, so maybe they can better answer, but I have had great luck with vistaprint. they messed up 25% of my RSVP cards and over nighted a whole new batch to me. Their customer service is amazing.

Some sellers on Etsy that sell "digital files" of suites already know the dimensions for Vistaprint. I would ask if she's done this before and if you can request the exact dimensions for the JPG. I've ordered from Vistaprint before with an uploaded picture etc. and was very happy with the results. I plan on doing this for my invitations as well.

Does Vistaprint allow you to order a proof?

I did this. I elected to use the matte finish and thicker paper on my invites. They turned out beautiful. I didn't order any proofs but, the emailed proof they sent was fine. I had no issues with it at all.

If the designer knows what they're doing, they'll send you files with full bleed at the correct size and resolution.

(You want CMYK art at 300dpi with at least .125" bleed, but they should already know this).

As others have said, just make sure you get a proof.

I got an email saying there is a 33% sitewide sale on VistaPrint right now - code

    SALE33 - just an FYI. (expires Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 11:59pm)

I designed my own invitations, STDs, thank you cards, and RSVP cards and they all printed really nicely from Vistaprint. As long as the file you upload is hi-res, they should print fine.

Yes and mine were perfect. I wish I had a pic of the physical samples I have, but they're at home Smiley sad

They are 10/10 super high quality, wouldn't change a thing.

Following. I thought of doing this or just using minted because they print the addresses, which is nice and easy.

I've done this! They looked great, I had to change my pdf to an image though to a JPEG to see it! I printed a couple off vistaprint just to see what they looked like!

Vistaprint is my FAVORITE site to get prints, business cards, invitations, etc. Their customer service is definitely a 5 star, and I've never had a low-quality print sent to me. I highly suggest doing that to save $!
