Buying Dress on Amazon?

Jen, on September 8, 2020 at 1:51 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8
Hi! I'm recently engaged and I have began looking at dresses. I found my dream dress but it's way out my budget. I was looking around on Amazon and I found a whole bunch of gorgeous dresses that I loved, but I was wondering if anyone has bought their dress on Amazon and what your experience was like.

I did not get my dress on Amazon, but there have been several brides on here that have. The quality of dresses really seem to very greatly! I would highly suggest reading as many reviews on the shop as possible, and looking for ones that have customer photos so that you can see whether or not the dress delivered actually looks like the one they are advertising & is of decent quality material. There are definitely some great dresses out there on Amazon and Etsy- just make sure you do your homework and research like crazy before purchasing!

I didn't buy my dress on Amazon, but I have purchased other dresses on Amazon, and they were great quality! I think the biggest thing is to check reviews before you buy. Amazon does have a pretty good return policy, so make sure that applies to your purchase just in case (it might not apply if the dress is custom made).

Always check for real reviews with customer photos! and amazon has great service so at least check for return or refund policies

I bought my dress from Amazon and saved a ton. It was almost identical to the dress I found in the bridal boutique.

Before buying it from Amazon, I did do a complete search online and found a variety a great sites (I bought one from udresscenter.com, but didn't like the color - I didn't have options during Covid).

You have a minute before you HAVE to go dress shopping, I'd consider putting aside some money each month to buy your dream dress if that's the one that makes you happy.

I got my veil, but not my dress on Amazon. My mom, who has Prime, ordered me three different veils so I could pick which one I liked the best and then returned the two I didn't like. She picked ones that offered free shipping and returns. I bought a dress I wore to my brother-in-law's wedding from Amazon. The quality was iffy. I washed it after the wedding and the bottom was all stringy. I would make sure you read reviews and see if you can purchase one that offers free returns in the event you don't like it.

If you have Prime, Amazon has ‘prime wardrobe’ which lets you try clothes for free for 7 days, and then you decide to return it or keep it.
Also, another great place to look online is Azazie! I got my bridesmaids dresses and MoB dress from there and they are great quality and reasonably priced! They have some really pretty wedding dresses on there! And they also have the option to try dresses at home before you buy!

I would look at Cocomelody first.
Amazon can be hit or miss because if the clothing/product comes from a 3rd or 4th party than Amazon itself, it may not be the size or quality that you want.
