I've found a dress online that is in my budget, but I'm scared to buy it. Have any of you bought a dress online? Was it right? Did it fit correctly? Please help!!!

I bought mine in person, but are there any reviews on that dress or website?

You can also look at the return policies if you are nervous, that way if you get it and your don't love it like you thought you would, you can return it and make sure you get a refund.

    Good luck!

They don’t have a return policy. That’s why I’m so iffy

I didn't, but I've heard nothing but good things about Azazie! They have a try-at-home option for all their dresses

I bought mine online after a lot of research. I actually bought both my ceremony and reception dresses online and they are perfect! Will alter them as the day comes closer but they are Both a pretty great fit. First is my ceremony second is my reception

I'm buying my dress from Azazie, which like Cher said I've heard nothing but good things about. Buying a dress online will strictly depend on what website you're purchasing from. I would google the name of the website "reviews" and see what comes up for it on trustpilot.com or sitejabber.com

Stillwhite.com !! Awesome site for affordable designer gowns. Both mine are designer, never worn with tags on and I paid less than $1000 total

Buying a dress online 5I bought my dress from Etsy, but I planned on doing a lot of customizations myself, so I wasn't worried about it not being perfect.

The seller had really good reviews, but I noticed a lot of people saying the fit was awkward when they got custom sizing, so I ordered a standard size, and it ended up fitting really well.
There were some issues with the dress- the waist was really short for me, the neckline fit weird, and some of the appliques were sewn on crooked, but I was able to fix those issues.
If you order online, definitely read the reviews carefully, and maybe talk to a seamstress to get an idea of how much alterations might be (certain features like beading and lace hemlines can drive the alterations price up!)

I would at least go to a store and try one on that's similar enough style to see if you even like the fit on you. And make sure to read up on return policies.

I bought my first gown online. I bought it a few sizes larger than I needed, with the intent to have it altered. Preownedweddingdresses.com. It would have worked out great, but my alterations left me showing more boob that’s I was comfortable with. So I agree with whoever said try on similar styles locally. Make sure to buy a size as close to your true size as possible. And a return policy is really helpful.

Ask yourself...if you spend however much the dress will cost, only to not use it...can you live with that? Only you can decide if it’s worth the risk!
