Buy bouquets or diy bouquets?

Angela, on July 24, 2025 at 10:48 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 15

Hi, we are doing a rustic, country theme for our wedding in November. I'm going with the whole rust fall colors. Like everyone we are on a budget and trying not to spend a crazy amount of money. I'm deciding on rather to buy bouquets/boutonnieres or DIY? Wedding is coming up so depending on time and how much it would cost. Do you think it would be better to spend the money to buy them or just make myself? I have 5 bridesmaids and 5 groomsman. I would love any advice anyone has? Thank you.

Costco has pre-made arrangements/bouquets and so does Fiftyflowers.com. Both sites are reasonably priced.

Both are an option. If you diy your flowers and boutonnière you might come out cheaper. Keep in mind that time would be a factor. If you have the time to do a diy go for it. If you don’t have time, buy your flowers. Keep in mind that flowers can be expensive depending on what you want. Set a budget. I set a budget for my flowers and I used them in my ceremony and reception. Compare the prices for both and decide what is best for you. You can not go wrong either way

Thank you Alisha, I think I'm going to go with the diy for my flowers. I think I'm going to reuse my flowers on my arch and bouquet after the ceremony on the centerpieces for the reception and etc. Since my wedding is in November I'm doing the fall colors but i really like these dried wild flowers look. I think I'm going with this kind of boho style. It will be easy too., I've been looking on Amazon and Poshmark. Smiley smile

You welcome. The boho look you are doing is beautiful. I like it a lot and reusing your flowers from the ceremony to the reception is a great idea. I did that as well with my flowers. You save money bc you do not have to buy extra flowers if you don’t want to.

I’d recommend combining DIY with a few ready-made pieces. I think DIY bouquets could be a lot more fun, especially if you enjoy getting creative with your wedding details. Boutonnieres can be a little more tedious. You might need to make quite a few, and it’s always a good idea to prepare extras just in case.

I really love the style you’re going for! I once came across an Artificial Greenery Stems Box Set that I thought was beautiful, but it didn’t quite match my own wedding style. But I think it would match beautifully with the wedding style you want. And I’d especially recommend the Burnt Orange & Champagne color palette.

Your flowers look fantastic! I also want a Halloween-themed wedding but ours is in February. I’d love to see more details about your Halloween wedding when the time comes!
