Buy a dress or made myself one?

Which ones do you think its better to save money? Buy a dress or make myself one? If I buy a dress, it could be either expensive (David Bridal) or poor quality fabric (order online like JJhouse, Hebos). If I could make one by reusing the fabric from my friend old dress, I thought I could save money....

I have a basic brother sewing machine. I wanted a nice clean trim, so I will be getting a second hand serger. I have an idea of a dress, 2 in 1. In a church, my dress gonna have a train. When reception, all I have to do is take the train off, and it become another dress.

I was really impressed. It seemed very well made. The material of my dress is different because it’s layered sequins over the under layer. There’s a group on facebook for Cocomelody where brides often post pics and reviews if you’re interested...

I would suggest doing the home try on first.

Honestly it depends either or can amount to a great cost. I was fortunate to find still white and I bought one of my dresses there and the other from Lace bridals on preowned wedding dresses 🥰 My dress from still white was an original and in excellent condition I saved more than 75% of what the dress was actually worth. My second dress I saved more than 50% and it's stunning, brand new, and original😍 I honestly think its easier to find your dream dress once you know which one you want than not knowing which one at all. Knowing both of my dresses truly helped me narrow my search. Keep in mind each dress original price is between $****. I didn't even pay $700 for one and the other less than $2k. There any many bridal boutiques with sales as well. I also found my engagement photoshoot dress originally triple the price of what I paid for on stillwhite and it was less than $400 with shipping and dry cleaning included 💞 best wishes!!
