Butterfly shaped flower petals for flower girls.

Do you mean confetti?? It would be really hard to find butterfly shaped flower petals that are 1. real petals 2. not over the moon expensive since that is a super custom thing.

You can definitely find butterfly confetti at any craft store in most colors. Also why are you buying this right now? I would be worrying about getting in deposits I need since you are inching in to a year out. I woldn't worry about these details until you are closer to 6th months

You should TOTALLY DIY this! Just get some petals the day before and spend a few hours in the morning cutting them into butterflies!

I am not buying anything right now. just getting all my ducks in a row so when the time comes to do all this it will already be written down and it will be alot easier and faster to do it. i have the venue booked, the photographer booked, and i am just waiting to hear back from the dj still. i am only giving him until the end of the week and i feel that is more then fair. we do have other options in mind so thats good. i am hoping by the end of the month we will have one hired. i was thinking confetti but wouldnt that be to easy to blow around if it is windy.

Petals would be just as easy to blow around if it is windy.

Even if you write things down now that does not mean it will be available at the same place 6 months from now - stores go out of business or stop carrying things all the time. It's just strange to me to look so far in advance for something to purchase when you won't go back to it for 6 months or more.

Real flower petals are very delicate and can take a lot of time and care to manipulate into other shapes. Especially if you want them in a color not easily found in nature like that bright blue. So real flower petals turned into butterfly's in a specfiic color I would contact my florist about and see what they quote. If you're looking to just buy something for the little girl to throw I would find some confetti you can get for 1$ a bag and double check with the venue what they allow. A lot of places have restrictions on what can and can't be thrown.

I think this is one of those things that nobody will even notice. My flower girl forgot to throw her petals down (so cute), You can get fake petals, fabric or paper and cut them out before hand (then clean them up after) but yeah I doubt anyone would notice the shape they were cut in, so it may not be worth the hassle.

I'd start looking for a new DJ. This guy doenst seem interested, between his initial response and no contact i think id move on.

I am thinking the same thing but fh wants to give him just a few more days and then we will be definitely be moving on. I just hate when i get so excited about something and something always seems to go wrong ya no.

This sounds like a very large amount of work for very little payoff. I like butterflies as much as the next person but I think there may be better ways to incorporate them.
