Butterfly Release

I really wanted to do this but I’m getting married in Jamaica and it’s not very common and very expensive.

Just so you know, I’m not trying to get all PETA on you, but I’ve heard lots of horror stories about people having dead butterflies. Yes, they are insects, but it’s still cruel. Please consider all options before you use a living organism as a prop.

View Quoted Comment I’m an ecologist and biology educator so I know about the fact that transporting any animals, insects, etc can be fatal. That’s why I was simply asking for recommendations on vendors because I was then going to contact them about their storage and transport methods as well as butterfly species to ensure I’m releasing butterflies into a suitable habitat. I have already contacted a few small, local vendors and was just trying to find more options.
