Busty bride

Dalena, on February 24, 2016 at 10:34 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13

So I had my dress altered and I am busty but after the alterations I feel that the dress is less flattering. Going back next week and tried to explain to the seamstress but she doesn't seem to get it. Anyone else having this problem? I don't want very much cleavage and I don't want my boobs to be the focal point. Left is before altering and right is after. I know the belt will make a difference but still...

It looks good either way! I like boobs, so I'm a lil bias anyway lol.

I think the only thing wrong with the second pic is that you are missing the belt and veil. It looks good to me

I think it looks like it needs to be pulled up a bit. Does it have a corset or zipper back?

So this is going to sound weird, but have you considered adding straps or sleeves to it?

When I was trying on dresses, I was afraid of showing a ton of cleavage too. The woman helping me ended up putting some sleeves on one of the dresses and it was amazing! It has a way of drawing the eye away from your cleavage. Just some food for thought!

I think you look great though!

We're adding cap style sleeves to my dress because I am extremely busty and we needed to break up the exoanse

It looks like the whole neckline has been lowered a few inches! Is that what you are referencing?

Definitely have a chat with your seamstress if you're concerned, but I want to say that I don't think the first one is more flattering. The top is too wide.

I think it looks great!!! You look beautiful, and I don't think you're showing too much!! But of course if you feel uncomfortable talk to the seamstress.. Just let her know very specifically what you want Smiley smile p. S. I am busty too, I'm having the bust on my dress taken out a little it doesn't zip all the way

It looks to me like the very top of the neckline was taken in a tiny bit too much. I'd be interested to see if it is as noticeable with the belt included in the post-alteration pic. Without the belt, it seems like your waist is defined closer to your chest, which is probably accentuating your chest more than you'd like.

It definitely fits you better now and you could always try a different bra with the dress? But if flatters your figure even more now!

I think it looks better on the second picture.
