Could you guys post pics of your bustles? I have a ballgown and I am curious to see different styles that you have gone with.

I just went in today for my first fitting!

There were 2 types they showed me that would work. I don’t have a photo of the first one, but I didn’t like it. There was another bride next to me and it worked on her dress, but I could see the inner layer more clearly on mine for some reason with that first one.
This is the second version I ended up going with because it felt more natural with the amount of tulle I have. This isn’t a ball gown, but it gives you an idea I hope!

I haven't gone for alterations yet, but I'm hoping to be able to do something like this Smiley smile

    A-line ballgown, unbustledBustle 3

A-line ball gown bustled (actually two separate sets of bustling: the under layer was a 3-point under bustle and the tulle was a 3-point over bustle. (This was after sitting for dinner, so the under bustle is a little rumpled, but we didn't notice it until pictures came back.)Bustle 4

I probably won’t even bustle mine.. I have a train but might have it shortened while in alterations so that it’s long enough to notice but short enough to leave

My tailor made a beautiful bustle. But, on the actual day my sister forgot how to do it and just did whatever 🤷‍♀️ Oh well! I suggest taking detailed notes/pics lol

Following just to see what everyone else is doing.

I agree, I probably will not bustle it though. I just prefer the natural look of my dress. But just incase, I want to see options. Smiley smile

I just found this photo on google, but this is similar to the first version bustle they did for my dress. I didn't like it...which is why I went with my choice above.

I guess you can bustle from the bottom which is a French/Under bustle, or from the waist which is a Traditional Bustle. I think that's right?

Here’s how I had mine bustled. I had them to put two snaps so you can see the design of the lace on the bottom.Bustle 7
Hopefully you can see what I was referring to the snaps. You can’t see the lace in this one.

I like this bustle the best. I feel like the others look like they went to the bathroom and didn't put their dress back down right lol. Thanks for sharing!

I am going to be doing a french bustle (don't have any good pictures of it)! My seamstress recommended that based on the material of my wedding dress since it's a little heavier satin underneath!

I don't have pictures Smiley sad but mine was a 3 point bustle from underneath (also a mermaid gown) but it definitely helped with the weight distribution. i had a heavy fabric and 3 layers of it
