Bustle for the ceremony?

Ladies...i bought my dress (link below), and i absolutely love it. I bought it more for the simple elegance, not the train. My ceremony is outside, reception inside, wedding is May 23, 2015. I will have to walk across an asphalt parking area, and the wedding aisle is cobblestone and pictures will be in the grass. I want to get an elaborate bustle to add a style to the back of the dress and keep it bustled all day. My MOH and MIL think i should leave the train out and expect it to get dirty and tassled. They think it'll look better for pictures. I know it's not the norm to do a bustle for the entire wedding, but thoughts? Thanks!

Why not just have it altered to remove the train, if you're never going to have the train out at all?

Good suggestion. I thought about that, but then I've been looking at bustle types and think that the additional fabric would make for a more elaborate bustle. Also if I remove it, then change my mind, I'm SOL. Haha.

I'm with Sandpiper....if you're going to utilize the train, just have them alter the ground to fall just to floor length...IMO THAT would look better than a bustle

DATE TWIN!!! such a cute dress. I think a bustle would look good on the back, it will give the dress a little more depth.

I say- do what you want I like the look of a bustle in general, and I agree that a bustle will give some extra drama and dimension to your dress!

Are you worried about it getting dirty or do you really just not like a train? I would still go for an elaborate bustle. When you have your fitting I think is when you should decide what you want to do. That way you can see it and determine if that's the way you want to look walking down the aisle.

I'm not worried about dirt so much as worried about the asphalt and stone ripping the organza and tulle to shreds. I can't place anything down on the cobblestone for the aisle, which is fine because it's pretty. If it rains and the ceremony had to be inside, I would leave the train down. So I don't really want to cut it off.

Well, I've used up the kiddos for junior bridesmaid, flower girl and ring bearer. But if I really wanted to, I could use my junior bridesmaid. Good suggestion!

I would just take the train off. I removed mine bc I didn't want a bustle.

I am taking my train off, but I don't think a bustle would look good on my dress. But if it would I would have it bustled the whole time. Go for it!
