Burlap mason jars

If I were to put a candle in these, how obvious would the flame be? Would it be too opaque to even notice there’s a candle burning? I want to put one at each place setting and love the ambiance of candlelight.

You could try a pillar that's a little taller than a votive, but I worry that the circumference of the candle may be too large to fit inside, so make sure you measure twice. If you do go with a standard votive, I don't think you'll see the flame, and the jar will likely just glow. That can be very pretty.

A small tea light might be really pretty in your jars. I would try a few things to see what works best.

I think people can notice light coming from it but they probably won't be able to see the candle

Maybe you could try fairy lights?

Those are beautiful! Flowers would look stunning in those.
