Burgundy tablecloths and bridesmaid dresses?

Haley, on May 15, 2019 at 4:02 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 14

Yall......Can I have burgundy tablecloths with burgundy bridesmaid dresses? I am just now realizing this might be a little too much burgundy. OR will no one notice this and I'm being crazy?

As long as you lighten up the decor in other ways, it should be fine. Such as white flowers, vases (or clear), ribbon around vases, napkins, plates, etc.

You can do whatever you want, but I would do different linens at least for the bridal party table(s).

I will be having white lace overlays on the head table. Should I also do ivory napkins? I was thinking of doing navy napkins but that might be too dark.

Do you think white/ivory lace overlays on the head tables will be enough to differentiate ?

Maybe light pink napkins to lighten it up a bit? I love the look of burgundy and light pink together!

My bridesmaids are also wearing burgundy but we will be having white tablecloths with burgundy napkins. Do you have any lighter colors in your scheme? Our scheme sounds similar but gold is also a color. I think burgundy tablecloths might be a bit much but its your day. I would definitely do all light accents (napkins, centerpieces, etc.) if you do go with the burgundy tablecloths. I'm sure the white/ivory overlay will help also.

I was looking at pics of these colors together and I have to say that yes, they are dark. BUT, they are also elegant, sexy, and romantic. Pair them with maybe gold and TONS of candles and you will have an amazing color palette. here is a table I found, the colors are flipped, but still beautiful. If you are worried about too much burgundy and havent gotten the tablecloths and napkins yet, try flipping them and doing the napkins burgundy. Just a thought.

If you’re having a head table and there for a row of bridesmaids sat next to eachother on display with a burgundy table cloth, I do think it’d be a bit much— think if there might be pictures of them during dinner , and how those pictures might be: red torsos coming out of red table. I’d at least change to a different color tablecloth for that one, maybe an ivory with a burgundy runner ?

If you did burgundy tablecloths and navy napkins, you could reverse it for the head table — navy tablecloth and burgundy napkins.
