Burgundy dilemma

Shyanne, on June 8, 2020 at 1:58 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 7

Hi everyone, I recently set out some of the items we've chosen for our wedding. Our color scheme has been blush and burgundy. I purchased these cream table cloths and burgundy napkins a few weeks ago but realized as I set some of our things together the napkins look very red. Is this not really a big deal or something im over thinking? The cabernet swatch at the bottom will be for groomsmen and ringbears bow ties/ties so it won't be a huge noticeable item to compare to the napkins. The flower colors will be blush mauve and burgundy stems in about 3 stem vases with greenery mixed in, not just the pink seen in the photo( I just have a vase of peonies on the table but was similar to color scheme minus burgundy). Im hoping it's not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things??Burgundy dilemma 1

I do think it's more red than burgundy but i also don't think it's a huge deal and it still looks really good overall

It is definitely more on the red side. Can you exchange them? If not, I wouldn't stress too much about it. Especially if your reception will be held at night or in a darker space. Most people probably won't even notice!

Hmm. I think it works since it's a blue-toned red and the pinks look on the cooler side. Is it too late to return them? If you plan to keep them, I would maybe incorporate a few things that are the same shade of red to make it look more cohesive.

Whatever you decide, it'll turn out fine. Just go with whatever will give you less stress in the long run!Smiley smile

This doesn't look like an overarching color scheme - it just looks like a lot of shades of reds and pinks. Can you exchange/change some things to match better, or is that not an option?

I don't really think it looks like it all goes together. I would probably try to get different napkins that more closely match.

Thank you everyone! I think im going to keep the napkins I have and maybe add a few darker red flowers into the flower arrangements along with the burgundy and blush to tie it together more cohesive. I also think the burgundy looks a lot more red on my phone then in person. They are not exchangeable which was the biggest dilemma. I really don't feel its going to be all that noticeable after all. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I think that's a perfect solution. Our flowers were blush and red and they looked very pretty.
