Bulk Items for a Decent Price!

Hello! Does anyone know where I can buy items in bulk for a good price? Things like tablecloths, plates, silverware, etc.

Costco/Sam's. They don't carry linens though.

Are you sure you would rather buy them and try to rehome them afterward instead of renting from your caterer which will be cheaper?

My decorator brought our arch and drapes through Tablecloths Factory. Not sure if they sell in bulk, but we were very happy with the arch and drapes we got from them.

I bought table runners off Ebay for less than 50 for all of them. I have 30 of them altogether. My venue is actually going to buy them off me after the wedding for $50. So I will come out even on that item.

Costco, Sam's Club, Smart and Final, and eBay are going to be your best bet for all of that. I hope this helps!

Amazon. But I would strongly discourage people from buying all of the linens, etc to host a large wedding. When you rent items you are paying for a service - they clean your napkins, make sure your tablecloths are wrinkle free and steamed, sanitize your silverware, etc. and even more importantly they generally transport everything to and from your venue and set up and break down. Buying may seem like a better investment, but you end up doing all of that work yourself (when you are already really busy) and then need to pack up and store or put in the effort to resell everything afterward. Plus even though you might be able to buy napkins for a similar cost to renting them, the quality likely won't be as nice. Unless you really think you'll use all of those items again and have a place to store them, I'd encourage you to consider rentals.

Any restaurant supply store should be able to help. Sometimes you can get things like that on Amazon, too.

I originally was going to have a smaller casual backyard wedding so I ordered white tablecloths and linen napkins from cvlinens.com. They were reasonably priced and much cheaper than if I rented. I'm ending up going with an all inclusive venue so no longer need them so luckily I did not spend a lot on them. I also got really nice plates and silverware from there but they were disposable (it fit the theme of a backyard bbq wedding).

It depends on what aesthetic and how casual the wedding is. As PP mentioned it might be better to rent so you don't have to worry about ironing and setting up but if your wedding is more laid back and casual I don't see anything wrong with ordering your own linens.
