Buffet style plating

I am having a buffet style dinner for the reception and have no idea how to do the plating. Do I put the plates and untencils on the tables or at the buffet? I know its a rediculous question but some do things differently. I appreciate the imput.

    We're having a buffet too. The utensils will be at the table since we are doing a plated salad. The plates will be up at the buffet line.
