Hey, I am new here (and to this process). I won't be getting married for a while (about 2 years), however with the COVID situation, I have nothing but time to "plan" and research. I am currently living in Florida, and will be having a "destination" wedding up north in the OH, NY, PA area. Sssooo, I have a couple questions I am hoping you all can help me out with:
1. I would like to be as thrifty as possible (20K max budget, though already researched over that). I would also ideally, like to DIY most of my things (bridal party proposals, centerpieces, etc.). Question: What were some ways you guys were thrifty during a destination wedding, or ways to make DIY things without spending an arm and leg on postage to send them to the destination?
2. I do not plan on using a Wedding Planner, though I have found some wedding planner books on amazon, The Knot, and so forth that seem really nice. Question: Have any of you used/tried/recommend them or one specifically?
