Hey ladies,

I'm so glad I found this site! It's amazingly helpful and reassuring to connect with people in the same shoes navigating wedding planning... Smiley smile

Ok, so. I'm kind of working on budget estimations, guest list *and* venue options all at the same time right now. But I feel like there needs to be one decided before the others can be finalized. What order would you go in?

The other thing that was important to us was to be able to spend time with our ceremony guests, all of whom were coming from a long way away and most of whom were close family members. Therefore, one of our early decisions was to rent a big house for all our ceremony guests.

Those decisions alone took us up to over $5,000 of our eventual $10,000 budget. But everything else--flowers, photography, reception entertainment, decorations, paper products, etc.--was less critical to us, and thus could be dropped if we had less money than we hoped.
