Everyone is a budget bride, no matter how big or small it is. That begin said, I'll die a cold ugly death before I give hobby lobby one more dime. Michaels, thrift stores, Freecycle (you'd be amazed how much wedding-usable stuff finds its way to my free cycle board). Look on Facebook for wedding recycling groups; I know there is one in Bergen NJ (that's mine, lol), Columbus Ohio and a number of other states. And if you can't find one? Start one!

Definitely on a budget. go to http://ruffledblog.com/community/recycle-your-wedding.html Not everything is inexpensive but it could help! just google wedding recycle and a ton of things come up. I really wish there was a brick and morter wedding consignment shop. That would be so much fun. Really pull your resources. Youtube is helpful for DIY invitations (we are making ours and hopefully the pockets too!). Hobby Lobby, Pat Catans, all of those stores are great for bulk. Check out Sams Club/Costco/BJ's for items too like flowers and sheet cake. Last but not least.. dollar tree!! My mom, sisters, and I are making the candle centerpieces mainly from items at dollar tree (everything is $1 there). There is no way I am letting my wedding look like it was a budget wedding so don't worry I am right there with you with wanting it to look classy. YOU CAN DO IT!!! good luck Smiley smile

SALES SALES SALES! Since youre wedding is more than a year away you will be able to hit ALL of the seasons as items go on clearence. It's a HUGE score. I went after christmas to get all my lighting and other decore that could go with my theme/colors. I got a ton of gold napkins for super cheap. If you are having a sparkler send off you can wait until after the 4th to grab all the sparklers for even less, and if you plan to do a photobooth you can hit up the halloween clearence rack once that day is over too and get some really awesome props. Basically and holiday will have sales and such so constantly be on the lookout for what stores have to offer. Smiley smile

I also highly suggest thrift shops for things like vases, baskets, etc.

I'm pretty awesome at scouring the web too with multiple sites that offer deals and such and price comparing. It's tedious, but worth it.

Hi,I totally understand the budget constraint because the more we keep spending on our wedding the lesser it gets, As you said that you stay in Arizona why don’t you check this website

Sculptwareonline.com as they deal in variety of wedding décor as well as they provide their products for rent if you are interested in renting then you should definitely opt for them without any further delay also they have variety of color option that you could choose which will go along with any of your wedding theme.

We are having a "backyard" wedding on my aunts property in Laveen so our venue is free. For our invitations we are using Vista Print. I'm slowly getting decorations from Michaels whenever I get coupons (join the mailing list!). To save money we are not doing favors or having a videographer. We are also doing cupcakes instead of cake. It's cheaper and you don't need to buy plates.

Check out craigslist too for decorations. Good luck fellow budget bride!! Smiley smile

    1. Find a local facebook group and ask for affordable DJ, Photographer, catering, etc. suggestions in that group. You'll find a ton of lesser known vendors that may have more affordable prices that way.

    2. Design your own invitations and then have them printed at Office Max, Staples or Walmart.

    3. Ask people you know that have been married recently if they have any decor that you can buy or borrow. I was able to find someone to borrow electric tealights, candle holders, and fairy lights from.

    4. Keep an eye out at thrift stores and on Facebook marketplace for decor.

    5. Use coupons at Michaels, Jo Ann's and Hobby Lobby. Hobby Lobby almost always has a 40% coupon available on their website.

    6. Use fake flowers and do it yourself. Its not too difficult. Just find colors that look nice together.

    7. Keep your guest list small.

My overall wedding theme is soft, romantic and vintage.
I spent last summer going to multiple thrift stores and goodwills hunting for mismatched China. I have over 300 plates now and am so excited to see them at the wedding.
I have also purchased a variety of decor and other items through fb market and the same thrift stores I utilized for plates. I bought drinking glasses for $50I found all my wine glasses for $11Various depression glass, milk glass and sterling silver. Plus I have refinished multiple pieces of furniture we will use at the wedding. I still have big piece to go. Here are some pictures of the things I have found. Budget Bride Here! 1
