Brunches Wedding

Lanai, on March 15, 2019 at 10:23 PM Posted in Planning 0 12
My fiancé and I are planning a small brunch wedding with our immediate friends and family . I go to brunch in the regular so I’m semi- familiar with the brunch times but never a brunch wedding . My mom and I are talking right now and can’t choose an appropriate time . I say at 11am wedding following brunch type foods . She is recommending something late starting around 1pm . My fiancé isn’t any help and states it doesn’t matter . Now my other issue is the venue I fell in love with has two time slots 11am - 4pm and 6pm -4am and those time slots includes setup , event time and clean-up . So the other real option would be the first slot . As a guest what time would you prefer for a brunch wedding ?

Title should be “Brunch” but I don’t see how to change it on the mobile app .

I would start your ceremony at 11am and then you could serve food around noon. I think serving food any later than noon would no longer qualify as “brunch” because then you’re into lunch territory, and then people will need more substantial food

5 hours seems like a short amount of time to do setup, have your event, and have to clean up... but if you want a brunch wedding 11am-4pm is the only logical time with those time slots

I agree, brunch should be around 10 or 11 so your time makes more sense. Serving breakfast foods at 1 makes no sense, that would be a lunch wedding.

Correct me if I'm wrong. But isn't "Brunch" breakfast and lunch foods combined ? I've never been to brunch earlier than 1PM.

Yeah, it is! I don't know, I guess in my experience the only brunch wedding I've been to started at 11:00 AM (food started being served at 11:30 AM). Every time we go to brunch and most brunch restaurants serve brunch from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

Thanks everyone ! After all the feedback and weekend research we decided on 2nd choice venue that has more time flexibility and we can have the ceremony at 11 .

Me neither! The brunch spots my friends and I go to are from 11-4. So we usually choose 1 or 2 (because they usually include a 2-hr bottomless option)

We're also doing a brunch wedding. Ceremony Venue from 11:15am - 1PM to include photos, and then brunch from 1:30pm - 4:30pm. It's brunch, so your guests will expect the morning time instead of evening, HOWEVER, nothing wrong with serving Breakfast for Dinner! That's always a favorite meal type :-)
