Brunch for Dinner reception

Nathalie , on November 2, 2018 at 7:40 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 1 8
Hi so I know I have seen this question before but I’m considering having a brunch (not breakfast) menu at my reception. Our wedding date is Nov. 30th next year which is the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I thought it may be a good idea to switch it up since everyone has already had the same left overs for the past few days. Just wanted to hear some other people’s thoughts.

I’ve been to a wedding like this before and it was really really fun. I loved it and thought it was different. They did a “make your own waffle/pancake bar” that was a HUGE hit.

This is a fabulous idea! I agree with the pp on doing a make your own pancake/waffle bar. And if you are having a signature cocktail, do some sort of special Bellini.

Please. Please. Please. If you have a brunch wedding... have brunch style drinks as well. Nobody wants to eat scrambled eggs with vodka sodas.

Other than that, i love this idea.

I’m doing a brunch menu for my evening wedding. I will have other stuff available as well but I’m loving the brunch at night idea because it’s different

I think brunch is a fun idea! Especially since you aren't limiting people to just breakfast.

I love this idea, Nathalie!! Smiley love Is your wedding at night or during the day? Not that it really matters, I'll eat pancakes any time of day. What are you thinking for specifics?

We are doing brunch for dinner as well. I am currently working with the caterer to come up with a menu. So far, we have chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, omelet station, and biscuit bar. We love going out for breakfast together so thought it would really put a "this is us" stamp on the wedding. Our cake is being made to look like a plate of pancakes and then we will have cupcakes for each guest with "sunny side up eggs and bacon" on them. I can't wait to see the final product. Smiley smile
