Brother walking me down the aisle

I am so sorry for your loss. So glad your brother can walk you down the aisle. That must be a fantastic bond.

What about "my wish" by rascal flats. It's very sweet and encouraging and can honestly work with any relationship. I may add it to the potential list for FH and his mom for their dance. If you are feeling odd about it though, maybe dancing with your Mom? I've seen this a few times and ita always so meaningful.

I can relate to you as I lost my dad to cancer, and was very torn and emotional about doing the special father/daughter dance with anyone but my dad. My mom wanted me to dance w my brother who was walking me down the aisle (my only sibling) I couldn't think of any songs that were fitting and not too mushy etc (as dancing w my brother that would be awkward!) I told my mom I was skipping the dance, and she was disappointed and dad (as she thought my brother was an extension of my dad as his only son and they look alot alike too...) one day, mere weeks before my wedding I heard a song that brought me to tears, as I knew my dad loved the song (so did I) and it would be the perfect song and tribute to my dad and also a surprise for my mom! I called my brother, asked if he'd take a couple quick dance lessons w me and surprise our mom and honor our dad at my wedding. We took three lessons, and went for it. The song was Teach Your Children by Cosby Stills Nash and Young! It was perfect in tempo and meaning. My mom was in tears, I honored my dad and it was a great success! If I could figure out how to post pics from phone, I'd share some! We had fun and I'm so glad we did it. :+)
