Hi everyone!!!

My father passed away when i was 5 and my mom passed away when i was 16 and now here i am 22 about to get married and having my brother walk me down the aisle and im also having my father daughter dance with him. We was thinking about using that song you should be here by cole swindell to remember our parents. Its a sad song but we felt like it would include both my mother and father. What do you guys think?

My cousin is playing that song in honor of her FH dad recently passing. I think it's ok to play the emotional song- get it out of the way and then have a party!

Oh man, I just listened to it and that is sweet.. would probably make me cry. I think that is a good idea.

Very sweet! Sorry for your loss, I'm in the same boat. I'm dancing w/ all 3 of my brothers to my parent's favorite song.

I love that song! As long as y'all can make it through without bawling I say go for it.
One thing to note- if you have other siblings or aunts/uncles/ grandparents who are going to be there who might also get emotional, give them a heads up so they know the song is coming

Thanks sooo much you guys!!!!! It will be hard to get thru it without crying like a baby but we figured it would be a great idea to remember our parents on that day.

Unrelated note: when you get a chance, please change your avatar to something other than the double rings which are associated with spam posts.
