Hi, my fiance and I are looking to get married at Brooklyn Bridge Park, NYC and will be following that up by our reception at Bacchus Bistro. It's only about 10 minutes away but our trouble is deciding when will be the best time to have the actual ceremony. We aren't inviting all of our guests to the ceremony, it'll mainly be immediate family but the Dinner Reception will have everyone else. So far, we've booked Bacchus for cocktail hour starting at 6 pm and the Dinner starting at 7.
Neither of us have much experience when it comes to attending or being apart of weddings but from what I have seen, the ceremonies are usually pretty short. With that being said, would it be best to have the ceremony at 5 pm or should we aim for earlier since it'll definitely be rush hour in Brooklyn. I know some of the rush can't be avoided no matter what but does anyone have any experience having a ceremony in a highly congested area?
Thank you and all of your feedback is appreciated
