Brooches For Bouquet As An Accent

Mrs.Goose, on July 14, 2015 at 5:58 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 10

So I am doing a standard wedding flower bouquet, with roses and greenery from my parents backyard. We are adding in lots of sparkly elements and silver touches, which got me thinking about brooches in bouquets! I love the idea of having 4 or so mixed in with the flowers as it seems to really make things stand out!

I'm curious if anyone has done this before or where you would suggest getting the brooches? (I'm in Vancouver, Canada)

I'm thinking I'll most likely get them through AliExpress or Ebay as the price is right but thought I would ask here first!

My florist mixed in stems with pearls and also added in some rhinestone stems. I think the bling mixed in looks good! You might be able to find some on stems so it's easier to assemble.

I like it either all brooches or no brooches. I am adding a little personal item that will dangle from where you would hold the bouquet to all of my bridesmaids. Each one will have a special meaning to that girl.

Look at rhinestone buttons in craft stores, they work just as well and may be cheaper.

I'm also doing something similar, I'm having a fresh flower bouquet made of Ivory roses and I'm including about 9-10 brooches and also adding rhinestone flower pins in the center of the flowers. I originally wanted a full brooch bouquet but with all my other DIY projects, I didn't want to overwhelm myself and I was not going to pay $200 plus in buying one. So my florist is incorporating my "bling" that I want. I bought my brooches from aliexpress as well as my rhinestone floral pins. This is a photo that I'm using as inspiration, except my bouquet will be Ivory. I say do it! I like being unique and I haven't seen much fresh floral with brooch combos lately. Smiley winking
