Brooch instead of a flower boutonniere...

OG FMP, on May 27, 2015 at 12:21 PM Posted in Planning 0 20

So my FH wasn't going to wear a boutonniere and wanted something different or just the pocket square alone. We were watching a wedding on TV and he absolutely love the idea of having a brooch instead. Idk why we never thought of this before. I love the look. What do you think??

Now time to hunt it down!!! What are you FH's wearing??

A flower brooch? I dont get it, i guess, i thought he didnt want a flower? Could he wear an heirloom from his family? Maybe a small picture on a pin of a Grandmother or Grandfather he was close to?

I ordered some off of Amazon and found some at garage sales. You may also be able to find something at a craft store.

I ordered a brooch from Etsy and found a lot of cute (and cheaper) options on Ebay as well. I love the idea of a brooch boutonniere!

Oh I like that. I wish I had seen this. Doesn't matter though, they forgot the paper flower boutonnieres anyways.

I like the idea. My FH love pocket squares & bow ties, so I am not sure whether or not our GM would have needed a boutonniere to begin with

Faran - My FH is wearing a bow tie and pocket square (not shaped like a pizza sliced like an OG) but the straight-lined pocket square. He wasn't going to wear a flower boutonniere now he's stuck on this one....his GM aren't wearing anything. They are all wearing pocket squares and a thin tie and that's it.

That sounds cute FutureMrsPereira. My FH is stuck on everything custom. He & some of his friends are trying to find someone to make them blazer/jackets for the wedding. ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL of FH friends are getting married within the next 2 years or were married in the last 2 years and he's the most fashion forward to he has to make a statement. I'm fine with it as long as its not last minute. And last minute is his staple. lol

That's a great idea. FH and his guys are wearing cedar roses. My cousin knows how to make them we just have to gather the cedar for it. We'll be adding more to them but this is the general idea.

Faran - My FH is the same way. He wanted a custom made suit - Yeah, NO! Your FH and my FH would friends. They both love expensive jeans and they KNOW good food. (I know your FH is super picky with his food) mine is too...not as bad as yours, but he has expensive taste buds haha!

Yea I could def see them being friends. He'll call him "P" because he calls all his friends by a letter in their first or last name. Sometimes I'm like T who... and he's all "lil T" or "big T" or "you know T"
