Broken ring finger, need special ring

Edie, on July 19, 2018 at 12:41 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 1 12
Hi y'all,
I'm hoping for some suggestions for a wedding band for my future husband. He broke his ring finger as a child and it did not heal properly. His knucle is HUGE! I don't really want to do the silicone rings. I would prefer a white gold band. Any suggestions are welcome at this point just need to get a ring on that finger haha

Thank you!
Desperately trying to find a ring

Would something like this work? It's titanium, not white gold, but may solve the knuckle issue.

I suggest u make him a temporary ring out of embroidery thread that will fit his finger until it heals. You can have the actual ring sized, ready and blessed during the ceremony. Then put it on him once his finger is the size it's suppose to be.

She said its been like that since he was a child. Doesn't look like its going to fix itself any time soon.

Why can't he just get sized by a jeweler and order whatever ring he wants in the size to fit over his knuckle? It's not like this is going to change anytime soon since it is a result of a childhood injury.

I would think it would fit funny if it were able to get over the knuckle. Like be extremely loose and annoying? idk.

I have looked at some hinge rings. The ones on the link you shared look way nicer though! Thank you! I'm hoping to see one in person because I do still want it to look a normal ring and not show the clasp. Thank you again!!

Yes then the ring is too big after it passes the knuckle.

I wonder if it could sit on the hand so that the clasp sits between the fingers so that it's not as visible? That's got to be frustrating for both of you. Best of luck on the hunt!

You might want to go visit some jewelers and see if you can have something custom made. I'm sure other people have had this issue before. Maybe something like a bangle bracelet that has a hinge on one side and opening on the other, but a ring? Good luck and let us know what you find!

Wear the ring on his right hand? My dad has the same issue and has always just worn his wedding ring on the other hand.

My husband has the same issue! We decided to go with a silicone band. I would like to find him a ring that can open so I give it to him on one of our anniversaries. Thanks for posting.
