Bringing Dad dress shopping

I don't think its weird at all. I think its very sweet. I've seen a lot of brides on Say yes to the dress and other wedding shows do that. I skyped my parents while trying on dresses, because they are in another state.

That's what I thought because I watch those shows also, but they say not to bring a huge entourage with you because it makes it harder to make a decision. Since I have a very limited amount of time to dress shop with my family and bridesmaids I wanted to be able to include those closest to me. I even wanted to bring my brother, because he's in the wedding and he's my only sibling. Who knows if he'd want to go, but I still want to ask him. I want to share that special moment with my loved ones.

I'm very close to my stepdad and he wanted to be involved. Once I picked a dress, he went back with my mom and me to see me try it on and order it. It was a really sweet moment! Go for it!

I took my dad because we are also super close. Surprisingly, he had great opinions. I am really happy I took him. Do it!

My best friend (moh) took her step dad dress shopping with them. and he ended up tearing up when she put on the dress she ended up buying. it's funny because she always says her dress was everything she wasn't looking for but once she put it on, she loved it. and when she saw him tear up, she knew for sure it was the one.

there's nothing wrong with taking your dad! i think that's really sweet.

Friday I went with three friends, mom, grandma and FMIL. Saturday I went with mom, dad, grandma and FMIL. I should have just done that to begin with. When I had my dress on and I looked at my dad I knew it was the one. He nodded and said, "That's it precious." and I teared up. It was an awesome experience and I would recommend this to anyone that has a great relationship with their dad!

I went dress shopping three times with my Mom and sister (MOH), and didn't find the dress. The fourth time I went I went with my Mom and Dad, and found the dress.

I was really happy that my Dad was there, and I trust his opinion. We all chose the dress together, then my Dad chose the sash and my Mom chose the veil.

Do it! If it's important to have your Dad involved as well, you'll be happy that he is there.

It's not weird. I'm a daddy's girl, too (even though we constantly butt heads bc we're both stubborn!) and I look forward to taking mine dress shopping with me.
