Bring your own Alcohol venues (preferably in Toronto) - Help!?

EstherV, on October 11, 2014 at 8:41 AM Posted in Planning 0 1

Hey WW! FI and I are pretty hopeful to find a venue in Toronto (or GTA) where we can bring in our own alcohol.

Has anyone A) Done this themselves, B) How much can it save you on your bar, and C) What do you buy the most of? Beer? Wine? Sprits?

Also, does anyone know which venues in Toronto are venues where you can bring your own alcohol? I know that you can BYOB at St. Lawrence Hall, and possibly at the Toronto Reference Library, and 2nd Floor Events, but if anyone knows of any other places I'd love to hear them. Thanks!

Sorry I can't help with the Canada thing but we are doing the same thing. We make our own wine so we will be providing that and beer. As for the totals of each I am not sure, my friends and family love their booze so we currently have 6 gallons in the basement waiting to be bottled. and will probably have to get a few 24 packs of beer (stupid Utah not allowing Kegs). I think the thing to look out for is the cost of adding your own spirits, our venue charges $300 for bartender service but have seen places here in Utah (where booze is seen as the devil) charge quite a bit more for the bartender service, or they may make you get a temp alcohol license. I hope this helps and good luck!!
