Bridesmen vs Groomsmen attire

Laura, on August 29, 2019 at 11:26 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
So two of my best friends are gentlemen, so they're on my side even though they're men. I've already asked and they said yes. So I was thinking to differentiate them that I would have the groomsmen in full tux with jacket, then have the bridesmen without the jacket, but with vests that match the bridesmaid and maid of honor. Thoughts?

That could work. I had a bridesman but I had him in the same attire as groomsmen with the exception that his bowtie matched the color of the bridesmaids dresses which was pink. And the groomsmen were all in green bowties.

Sounds like a great way to differentiate them.

My brothers will be standing on my side as bridesmen but I'm just having them wear the same thing as the groomsmen

Your idea works fine to identify them but I would personally have them dress both with jackets. I would just have the bridesmen wear the tie or bow tie the same color of the bridesmaid dress.
I’m not sure how you have it now. I didn’t have bridesmen but all my groomsman were in classic black tux with black bow tie. They didn’t match the girls dresses as is not something I particularly like for them.
