Bridesmaids/groomsmen attire

It depends on your financial situation and theirs. I have always cover all cost when being a bridesmaid same as my husband. Our bridal party cover the cost but we gave them free options on the dresses and hair and make up was optional.

In my experience the wedding party pays for their own outfits, but the bride and groom should talk to each person about their budget and respect that. I don’t want my MOHs to spend more than $70 even though one was looking at dresses $150+, I just feel bad asking someone to spend that much. If it was in my budget I would consider splitting costs or buying their outfits, but we just can’t.

Every time I’ve been a bridesmaid I’ve paid for my own dress, hair and makeup. Although the hair and makeup was always optional we just had to let the bride know by a certain day if we were using the service. I think it’s good to discuss budgets with your wedding party so everyone feels comfortable on what they’ll be spending. I’m using Azazie and letting my girls pick their own dress just as long as it’s the color I chose (blush pink) that way they can choose the style they’re happy with and what’s in their budget. All of their dresses are very reasonably priced and they take custom orders so everyone has a great fit.

My bridesmaids and groomsmen have or will pay for their own attire. My fiancé and I bought very nice gifts to show our appreciation. All of my girls got diamond bracelets and matching earrings along with hangers, robes, personalized champagne flutes. The groomsmen will each be getting a nice watch and the rest is to be decided

It depends on the country. In the US, attendants typically pay for their own, unless the couple agrees to help, but the couple should be respectful of their budgets. In the UK, the couple pays for the attendants' outfits.
