So 4/5 of my bridesmaids are large. We tried "bridesmaids" dresses and they looked horrible. My sister suggested a "Mother of the Bride" dress instead. I agreed because the other ones looked awful. Not to mention my nieces were pouty and grumpy because they didn't like the color I wanted them to wear (our colors are red and teal and I wanted them in the teal). Anyway, the 4 bridesmaids purchased their dresses - silver with high chest and back so a bra could be worn and not visible - they would have dealt if the dress was red (their words). The last girl went to purchase hers and it didn't come small enough for her! So, after a horrible purchase on WISH, and a groomsman dropping out, I decided to get a similar looking dress (in red because that's what the guys are wearing) from the "bridesmaids" section and have her stand on the groom's side. She totally doesn't mind, she thinks it's awesome actually.
Is this a "normal" thing? Is it okay that I'm doing this?
