Bridesmaids

Ashley, on April 30, 2021 at 2:03 PM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 13
Okay so I have 5 bridesmaids my sister is the MOH.
So far only one of the bridesmaids has gotten her dress, I have done reminders about them getting their dress and timeline. I can handle my sister not getting hers yet & dealing with it but the other bridesmaids just read my message or most of the time say there going to wait until next paycheck. My wedding is in July.. am I overreacting?😣

You are not overreacting because it is anxiety inducing.

are those dresses they have to get ones where it takes a while to produce?

I don't htink they need reminders. They know when your wedding is and what dress to buy. they will either do it or not. If not, they're not in the wedding I guess. Just not something I would spend any time stressing about.

The one bridesmaid that got her dress said it will be here the earliest June 3rd latest would be July 7th. My wedding is July 17th. I told them as long as it’s in the color cinnamon I don’t care what style as long as their comfortable in it still no one has went up to the David’s bridal shop to go look. I live in a different state but I am planning on having my wedding back in my original state where all my family is. If it wasn’t for that I would have taken them all to the bridal shop a long time ago.

No, I think you should stick to how you feel and check in on them again. I bought a dress in February for a June wedding because the bride was a worrier and ended up needing to return it for another size. I only had the time to do that because I ordered it far enough in advance. It might seem pushy and annoying to them so be delicate about how you approach it.

Oh in that case i guess it's ok cause they technically still have time, as long as they have their gowns by then. but i totally understand your anxiety because one of my bridesmaids literally got her dress 3 days before my wedding and that is NOT ideal.

100 % they need to get theirs gowns. To be honest order online through davids its way faster than in store. I had my MOH order hers right from the store. It took her about a month My other 2 friends did it online 2 months after.. got it a week later and they were a long plus size and a petite size. I ordered mine through davids in store came in 7 weeks. Depends on the dress as well but yeah they usually have sales going on now too.
I would be pissed by now tho. They need to get their dresses. What if they needed it altered. Who knows. Lots of stuff happens.

The last wedding I was in was my sister's, and we all had our dresses a good 6 months before the wedding. I'd start putting my foot down if I was you. Contact them each individually to check the status and say they need to be ordered within 2 weeks. Thats a whole pay period for most people so don't take any "next pay check" excuses. If they still give you push back, be straight up with them and ask if they still want to be part of the bridal party.

Yeah, that’s what I’ve been saying to order online at David’s if they have to I made sure that they have sales going on in the color I wanted, ready to ship & to make sure it was in there price range. I’m giving them all a call tomorrow so we’ll see how it goes.
Hate to be a bridezilla but come on now🤦🏻‍♀️
