Bridesmaids

Shay, on October 25, 2021 at 9:26 PM Posted in Planning 0 15
This might be a stupid question, is it weird that my two daughters(10 & 11) and my sister(23) will be my bridesmaids??

Not sure if anyone will have their kids as bridesmaids. By the time our wedding happens they will be 11 & 12

No not at all. You should have the people most important to you and I imagine your sister and daughters are those people. Smiley smile You might have to adjust things like your bachelorette party if you want your daughters to attend and so something like a spa day and they might not be able to give you as much help as others on the day would but you will still have your sister as well so that would be ok Smiley smile

Nope, it’s totally normal! You could give them the of title junior bridesmaids since they are younger but I don’t think that makes a big difference either way. I was a bridesmaid in my mom’s wedding when she married my stepdad and I loved it!

I think it's awesome. And if your bridesmaids aren't doing what you want - you can send them to their rooms. Smiley smile Sounds perfect.

Our plan is to have my 2 daughters (16 and 14 1/2) to be my bridesmaid/maid of honor. My Fiance will have a Best Man. No ring bearer. No flower girl, no other bridesmaids, or groomsmen.
We are planning to have church wedding but because of covid, we want to make sure everything stays simple, less participation = less exposure. The church is big so social distance is possible and rehearsal is reserve for just one or two households.

Nope. Not weird at all. My 14 year old daughter will be a bridesmaid in mine. I wanted people I was close to so I asked my daughter.

I agree. Use the Junior Bridesmaid titles if you want since they’re younger, but you can have whoever you want be a bridesmaid! It’s your wedding Smiley smile

Not weird at all. Two of my bridesmaids are older but I also am having my fiances sister who is about to be 15 as one. All 3 people i chose are family: sister, future sister in law (brother fiance), and my sister in law (fiances sister). Bottom line is you should have the people who mean the most to you and who you want standing up there with you up there 😊
