Bridesmaids that don’t stand

Taylor, on January 26, 2019 at 12:01 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4
My fiancé only has 3 groomsmen so I am only having my 2 sisters and his sister stand with us for the ceremony. But I have 5 other girlfriends that I REALLY want to be involved in the ceremony (I’ve been in their weddings) but I don’t know how to do it without slighting them or making them feel like they’re not as important. Would it make sense to have them walk down the aisle and then sit in the first row? Any advice on how I could make that work?

Why does your fiancé having 3 groomsmen mean you are only having 3 people stand with you? You could just have uneven sides. No matter what you do they're going to feel not as important if they're separated out in some way.

You could also have his sister stand on his side instead of yours to even it out a little bit more, since she's presumably closer to him than to you.

I don’t think they’d want to buy a BM dress just to sit in the front row. If they’re reasonable people they won’t take offense to it since you’re having an intimate bridal party with just family. However, you can do uneven sides no biggie!

Having them sit in the front row and not stand up is pointless and so rude. The sides don't have to be even, so you can absolutely include all of them if you want!
