Bridesmaids shoes

Hi Ladies!!! Are you letting your bridesmaids wear the same shoes or are you letting them pick out their own style?

We asked that they wore nude shoes, but they picked the style.

I am letting them choose their own style of shoe it just has to be the color that I want. It honestly won't really matter since the bridesmaids dresses are long. You'll hardly see their shoes. I don't want to force one person who is uncomfortable in heels or force someone who doesn't want to wear flats.

I asked my girls to get navy blue Toms for my wedding. My thought was comfy and functional. At least these shoes won’t just sit in the closet or get donated after the wedding. We can wear them in our regular day to day lives (we’re all educators).

I ended up buying shoes for each bridesmaid. They were all the same style. I wasn't sure if any of them would actually wear them again after my wedding (though I hope they do!), so I covered the cost.

I asked my girls to wear black shoes, any type just no flip flops. Apparently some have a hard time listening though. My cousin bought black heels with pink flowers over them. Claims they are more comfortable than her other black shoes. It's not worth an argument and you won't be able to see their shoes since the dresses are floor length.

They are wearing long dresses and you won't see the shoes so I told them they could wear anything they want except Crocs. I'm wearing converse myself, so a lot of my bridesmaids are wearing Crocs or vans

I told them they could wear whatever shoes in whatever color they wanted. You won’t see them under the dress so I really don’t care

I let them pick whatever shoes & jewelry they wanted to wear. I've been in two weddings and both dictated the types of shoes (both were uncomfortable and made the day way longer and more uncomfortable for me) and my shoes weren't noticed in a single picture (one dress was long, one was short).

Daughter asked her BMs to wear any closed-toe nude shoes they wanted (it was a January wedding). Most already had one or more pairs, and it let them choose what was comfortable for them, worked with their height and the length of their long dress, etc. Daughter was once required to buy what she described as "gold stiletto stripper sandals" as a BM. She's nearly 6' tall without shoes. They were super uncomfortable and she thought they were ridiculous; although she felt bad for the bride, she was not sorry when that wedding got cancelled because the couple broke up. After that, she knew she would never require anyone to buy a particular shoe!

Since my bridesmaid dresses will be long, they can wear whatever shoe they want. It allows them to pick shoes they are most comfortable in.

I had originally given them the option but no one pulled the trigger. So I found a pair and told them they had to be ordered by a specific date. I've found its much easier to tell them than give options.

I told mine they could wear anything silver in color. Some wore silver wedges, the others silver heels. You couldn't end up seeing them anyway since the dresses were long

Let them pick what's comfortable and affordable to them. Unless the dresses are short, no one will notice or care what the shoes look like.

I was just like "hey, does everyone have a nude shoe?" All three said "yes," and they wore 'em.

Pick nude shoes with similar colors, and then decorate the same shoe accessories . This not only meets the different needs of bridesmaids, but will not be particularly abrupt.

    Take a look at this!!

That’s the same thing I told mine! Anything you want but no crocs! I did tell mine to wear gold shoes though but have since rethought that since my FW and I are getting custom Vans!
