Bridesmaids question !

So my FH has a huge family and I do not. I would love for his family to be involved in my wedding as bridesmaids (his cousins) since he is super close with them and it would mean a lot for them to be involved. I am not particularly close with them but have no problems with them at all and would like for them to be bridesmaids too. Is it weird if I ask them being that I’m not really “friends” with them ? We always have gotten along when we are all together I just don’t have my own relationships with them. What do you think ?

I think You and your FH should do it together. That way it’s less awkward. I also Think it’s lovely of you to include them.

I think this is totally fine. My H and i had a "one bridal party" type of approach - we picked everyone together. This sounds like what you guys are trying to do and I think it's great!

I asked my FH two cousins to be BMs in our wedding, and let me tell ya, they couldn't have been more excited. I'm talking texted my MOHs on the spot to start planning my bachelorette party. I asked them while FH and his parents were there, and it made me a lot less nervous about it, so maybe just ask when he's around to calm the nerves.

I asked my FH cousin and stepsister to be a bridesmaid. We've been together 10 years but I wasn't close with them at all. I'm glad I asked and they're both super excited to be included.

EDIT: also now I'm a bridesmaid in FH cousin's wedding too, I was surprised she asked me but I'm excited about it.
