Bridesmaids Hair

I'm also wearing mine down and I'm letting all of my bridesmaids choose whatever they want. They all said they want updos but if they change their mind that's totally fine and up to them. I want them to be comfortable and like how they look. If you are paying for their hair and you want updos, I would let them know and maybe let them find some examples they like? If you aren't paying for their hair I would just let them choose what they want to do.

I've never heard of the bride telling the bridesmaids how to do their hair and makeup, even if they are paying for it. I told my girls to do whatever they want & makes them feel most comfortable, and I'm paying for it. I know they won't look anything like me or take attention away from the bride & groom so I'd rather have them in a style they feel their best in. My bridesmaids also have all different lengths, colors and textures of hair so it would look weird to have them all the same.

Maybe save 3-5 pinterest pictures they can pick from if it's too much pressure for them to pick? One down, one up, one half up half down? Then tell them you like those but also to do whatever they want?

That makes sense. I have friends that are like that too so I totally get it. If they are looking for some kind of direction, I would maybe let them know that you think updos would look really nice and then maybe ask if any of them have any inspo pictures they like. That way you are helping direct the decision but they are still involved and you don't feel like you're dictating it either.

I wouldn't choose an exact style because not everyone's hair is capable of doing the same thing... what looks good on someone with thick hair might look terrible on someone with thin hair, same thing with long vs short, layered vs not, curly vs straight. So I would just make a general guideline such as up, half up, a style including a braid, etc and have the hair stylist work their magic on each hair type.

My girls also chose their own dresses, I actually feel like it would look a little weird for them to be in different dresses but identical hairstyles, but that's just my opinion! I'd just have them do it however they want

I would just keep telling them no, whatever you want. It's really odd that they're asking this, maybe other weddings they've been in the bride has been super controlling about it. Just tell them to bring a couple pictures for the stylist and they can do whatever they want. I honestly wouldn't tell them what to do even if they ask.

It depends... are they paying for their hard themselves/doing it, or are you paying for it. Personally, I would let them choose. In my mind, it feels SO cookie cutter to have the same hair. If they are wearing different outfits, the hairstyle may look great with one dress but awful with another. I would just let them pick.

Hi, I have been in weddings where the bride told us "up to the side" and weddings where the bride told us to do the same... I was fine either way. I love the style you have chosen I think it is very nice
