Bridesmaids gifts

Sarah, on June 13, 2020 at 6:09 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 3
Are the brides suppose to give gifts to those who attend the bachelorette party and then wedding gifts for the wedding party on the day of wedding? It is everyone giving their bridesmaids wedding gifts? Would it be rude to just give wedding gifts!?

You don’t have to give a gift to everyone attending the bachelorette. It would be nice to give your wedding party gifts though for their help and support but it can be super small and simple too.

The bridal party it is nice especially since they are spending money and time for the wedding. Does not have to be anything elaborate but it is a nice thank you. For my MOH I got some cute on sale things from David's Bridal and JJs House. Smiley smile. I would not get gifts for those that attend the bachelorette. I have gotten gifts only as a bridesmaid.

No need to give gifts every time you turn around, a current fad. Write a sincere thank you note to whoever organized your bachelorette, one person or a group. Proposal gifts, getting ready robes or shirts, none if that is ever necessary. One individual gift, not all the same, for each, given shortly before, or just after the wedding, is fine. Can be given at the RD, or a luncheon or dinner with just the bride, or in private. Shop like it is her birthday, something for her tastes or hobbies or interests. Things used in the ceremony don't count.
