Instead of the word "bridesmaid" on the makeup pouch, I would either have their initials or name or leave it blank. People are more likely to re-use stuff that doesn't say "bridesmaid" on it after the wedding.

It's too late. I already bought them. The things inside can be multipurpose, but there is no changing the bag.

It might be too late if you've already purchased, but I always recommend to my brides and grooms to refrain from buying wedding party gifts with "bridesmaid, "groomsmen," "maid of honor" etc. on them. The present transcends their "role" in your wedding and should be treated like a personalized birthday present for each person. You want them to use the bag beyond the wedding, and carrying around a "bridesmaid" makeup bag on your work trips and family vacations isn't a personal--especially since, you know, the wedding will have passed.

That being said, I'd add at least one different item to each bag that's personal to each gal.

I like the idea of cute scrunchies or those flat hair ties you can customize. I would look on etsy for something you can customize they have some cute stuff

Sheet face masks are really inexpensive and can be something you could easily add

Starbucks or Target gift cards (or another place you know they like) instead of the makeup would 1000% be my vote! They can get whatever they'd prefer but you're technically getting them the same thing (which it sounds like you want to do).
