Bridesmaids gifts

Nodame, on February 23, 2020 at 1:01 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

Hello, my wedding is coming up in April, and I was wondering what would be appropriate as far as giving gifts to my bridesmaids. It is a destination wedding, so I appreciate them making the trip, and they are also buying their own dress.

I am getting them: A robe, personalized slippers, One Night in a Hotel room with me (night before our wedding day), and I am also paying for their makeups.

Do you think that is enough, or should I get them something else?

My fiance and I are on a budget and we are trying not to spend too much on things if they are not necessary.

    I think that's plenty!

A thank you card or thoughtful note would be the only additional thing to consider Smiley smile

I personally would get them something else. All of the items you mentioned are props for your wedding day, not really gifts for them.

I agree (as always) with Caytlyn--all of those are actually props for them for your wedding (photos, ceremony, etc.) Bridesmaids gifts should be personal to each person, like it's their birthday. It doesn't have to be big or flashy, but a legitimate "thank you" for being a good friend would be something that doesn't have anything to do with the wedding and everything to do with that person.
